Chef Joe Sasto has dedicated his life to creating food that will make you say “Tanto Si,” an Italian expression that means, “so much yes.” That’s why he created Tantos, a pasta snack that is cooked, dried, puffed to perfection, and seasoned with a variety of classic Italian flavors that will leave you wanting more.

Where all your pasta snacking fantasies come true. Chef Joe’s two loves are pasta and nachos: nachos for the crunch, and pasta… well… obviously because pasta. He has always wanted to combine these two craveable and delicious food groups, specifically to extend pasta outside of the kitchen, so that you can enjoy your favorite Italian flavors wherever you are. After years of experimentation and taste testing, the life of TANTOS was born.
the early years
From a very young age, Joe Sasto knew that he wanted to be a Chef. Joe’s mother had always recognized his talent, how he became ignited when cooking in the kitchen.
Joe dove head first into the culinary and restaurant industry, training under some of the Bay Area’s most respected and honorable Chefs. A natural leader, he quickly became recognized for his abilities, respectfully contributing to the rise of restaurants such as two-Michelin starred Lazy Bear, and three-Michelin starred Quince. It was at Quince in San Francisco where Joe’s passion for pasta truly began. You may have seen Joe on television shows such as Bravo’s Top Chef, or Food Network’s Tournament of Champions, and Chopped.
